A line is a sequence of handoffs. Product enters through the filling and dosing stage — liquid, paste, powder or granule dosing matched to the product. Containers or packs then close: capping for threaded closures, sealing for film and foil formats. Labeling marks the finished pack — wrap, front-and-back or top configurations by container.
From there the line packs: cartoning moves product into retail or shipping cartons, shrink wrapping collates and protects for distribution, and palletizing builds the warehouse unit. Not every line needs every station — but every station on the line needs to accept the handoff it is given. That is the integration discipline: the filling-to-capping transfer, the labeled-packet-to-carton timing, the bundle-to-pallet flow.

Integration and Controls
The conveyor is the line's bloodstream, and accumulation is its buffer against reality: stations stop for changeover, clearing and faults, and accumulation between stations keeps the rest of the line running through short stops instead of cascading them. How much accumulation, and where, is a design decision — too little wastes capacity, too much hides problems and adds floor.
Line synchronization ties the stations to one control concept: speeds, starts and stops coordinated so containers flow instead of jamming, with an operator interface that shows the whole line's state rather than a wall of independent panels. The control architecture is designed with the line, not assembled after it.
